Puttur: An incident involving an intruder entering a girls’ hostel in Padil, Puttur, on November 6 has raised safety concerns after police were initially reluctant to register the case. The intruder entered the hostel premises around 2:30 pm and remained inside until approximately 3:30 pm, as recorded on CCTV.

A girl in the hostel filmed the intruder’s movements and alerted the hostel supervisor, leading to a complaint by the hostel warden. Despite the evidence, Puttur women’s police were hesitant to register the case. However, after intervention from higher officials, the case was finally registered on November 10.
