Kadri Park to Host Spectacular Fruits and Flower Show 2025

Mangaluru: The upcoming Fruits and Flower Show 2025 at Kadri Park promises to be a visual feast, celebrating the beauty of nature with a stunning array of blooms and fruits. Organised by the Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat, district administration, and the horticulture department, the event will run from Thursday until January 26.

This year’s show will feature a remarkable 22ft tall Eiffel Tower crafted entirely from flowers, marking the centerpiece of the exhibition. The tower, with a 12ft diameter, will incorporate two lakh flowers from a variety of species. Alongside the tower, visitors can admire impressive floral displays of a mushroom, cannonball, honeybee, Mickey Mouse, and swan, all standing between 4ft and 6ft tall.

Additionally, the venue will have floral photo frames and designated selfie spots for visitors to capture the experience. Large, intricate artworks of kambala buffaloes, jockeys, fishermen, and Yakshagana crafted from millets and leaves will also be on display, each ranging from 5ft to 6ft in diameter.

Over 20,000 flowers from 30 varieties such as salvia, chrysanthemum, zinnia, geranium, and petunia will adorn the venue. Attendees will also have the opportunity to view fruit sculpture demonstrations and learn about flower arrangements and ikebana.

Experts from Pilikula Nisargadhama will provide insights on endemic and herbal plants of the Western Ghats. Visitors can also explore stalls from nurseries, seed sellers, fertiliser dealers, and local farmers showcasing their horticultural products.

In addition to the floral and fruit displays, Desi Seeds Producers Mysuru will present 50 varieties of tubers, and self-help groups under the NRLM will showcase their goods. The horticulture department will sell over 1.5 lakh saplings of various vegetables at an affordable price of Re 1 per sapling.
