In a recent crackdown, Kavoor Police apprehended two men linked to a cattle theft case registered under IPC Section 379 and the Karnataka Prevention of Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle Ordinance 2020. The suspects, Faizal alias Faizal Konchar (40) and Suhaib Akhtar (24), both from Mangaluru, were detained in connection with a series of cattle thefts in the area. Authorities seized a Ridge car and a Fascino scooter reportedly used in the crimes.
Faizal has a history of cattle theft, with 12 cases filed against him, including multiple cases at Bajpe, Shankaranarayana, and Sirsi Market Police Stations, along with two at Sagar Town Police Station in Shivamogga district.
This operation was supervised by Mangaluru Police Commissioner Anupam Agarwal IPS, with oversight from DCPs Siddharth Goyal IPS and Dinesh Kumar. Led by ACP Shrikant K, the arrest team included Inspector Raghavendra Baindur, Sub-Inspector Mallikarjun Biradar, and officers Bhuvaneshwari, Riyaz, Chandranayak, Nagaraj Bhairagonda, and Rajappa Kashibai.
