KMC Hospital launches 24×7 emergency services at Sri Krishna Hospital, Kakkinje

Mangalore: KMC Hospital Mangalore has inaugurated a cutting-edge 24×7 Emergency Centre at Sri Krishna Hospital Kakkinje, Belthangady Taluk. This extension of KMC’s services aims to offer life-saving emergency care to residents in Kakkinje, Ujire, Neria, and Charmady, ensuring timely and quality medical support in rural areas.

The grand opening, held on 7th December 2024, was inaugurated by Dr. Tejaswini Ananthkumar, social reformer and Managing Trustee of the Adamya Chetana Foundation, Bengaluru. Speaking at the event, Dr. Tejaswini expressed optimism about the transformative impact this emergency wing will have on the local community.

The event was presided over by Shri M.K. Pranesh, Hon’ble Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Council, Karnataka, who highlighted the critical role of this facility in improving healthcare accessibility for rural regions.

Mr. Saghir Siddiqui, Regional COO of KMC Hospital, emphasized:

He also highlighted that this centre complements KMC’s existing satellite emergency units in Pragathi Specialty Hospital, Puttur, and KAHM Hospital, Kerala, which have successfully managed critical cases in remote areas.
