The Moodbidri police have arrested a 21-year-old man named Arshad, a truck cleaner, for allegedly stalking a girl. According to the police, Arshad was reportedly in love with the girl, but she had recently expressed her disinterest and started ignoring his calls and messages. Following this, her family sent her to her sister’s house in a neighboring district to avoid further trouble.
Three days after her return, the girl visited a tailor’s shop, where Arshad tracked her down. Upon finding her, he confronted her and caused a commotion. The situation escalated, prompting the tailor shop’s staff to intervene, which caused Arshad to flee the scene. Based on the girl’s complaint, the police arrested Arshad and produced him before a court.
The police continue to monitor such cases closely to ensure the safety of women in the area.
