Mangaluru: City police have issued a public advisory in connection with the visit of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan to Mangaluru on Thursday, urging citizens to cooperate with security arrangements and traffic management measures put in place for the high-profile event.
According to the advisory, the event featuring the actor is a private, invite-only programme and entry to the venue will be strictly restricted to individuals possessing valid passes. Police have clarified that no person without an authorised pass will be permitted to enter the venue under any circumstances.
Entry restricted to pass holders
The Mangaluru City police have requested members of the public to respect the entry regulations and avoid visiting the venue without valid invitations or passes.
Officials said the restrictions are aimed at ensuring smooth conduct of the programme and avoiding inconvenience, disappointment or confusion at the venue gates.
Security arrangements have been strengthened in view of the actor’s visit, with police personnel expected to be deployed at strategic locations around the event venue and adjoining areas.
Traffic measures put in place
Police said maintaining smooth traffic flow on the highway and surrounding roads will be a priority during the event.
As part of the advisory, the public has been requested not to gather near the venue or along the highway, as such gatherings could lead to congestion and disrupt traffic movement.
Authorities have also warned against blocking roads, creating traffic obstructions or assembling near the event venue. Security personnel will closely monitor access points and regulate the movement of vehicles and pedestrians to ensure public safety.
Public urged to cooperate
The city police have appealed to residents and commuters to cooperate with the temporary security and traffic arrangements and to follow instructions issued by law enforcement personnel on duty.
