Mangaluru: The Saanidhya Group of Institutions, a service project of Shree Ganesha Seva Trust for Exceptional Persons, will host its annual celebrations titled Vision – 2026 and Saanidhya Utsav at Kadri Park on February 14 and 15.

The two-day programme aims to celebrate the creativity, resilience and achievements of special students, while bringing the community together for a noble cause.

Vision – 2026 art & craft exhibition

The event will begin on February 14 (Saturday) at 5.30 pm with the inauguration of Vision – 2026, an art and craft exhibition featuring articles prepared by the special students of Saanidhya.

The exhibition will be inaugurated by Sri Anil Kumar Bhoomareddi, KSPS, Additional Superintendent of Police, Dakshina Kannada district. The Chief Guest for the evening will be Sri Maneesh Nayak, District Disabled Welfare Officer, Dakshina Kannada.

The exhibition highlights the artistic abilities and vocational skills of students, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to empowerment through creativity and skill development.

Saanidhya Utsav cultural programme

On February 15 (Sunday) at 5.00 pm, the institution will present Saanidhya Utsav, a vibrant cultural programme showcasing the talents of its students.

The programme will be inaugurated by Dr Mahanthesh G. Kivadasannavar, Chairman of the Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI), former President of World Blind Cricket Ltd (WBC), and Founder of the Samarthanam Group of Institutions, Bengaluru. The Chief Guest will be noted businessman Sri Harsha Melanta.

One of the highlights of the evening will be a Yakshagana performance titled “Varahavathara”, directed by Sri Sharath Kumar Kadri with co-direction by Sri Sucheth Kumar and staff of Saanidhya. The cultural segment also includes a thematic presentation titled “Operation Sindoor”, portraying a message of courage and patriotism.

The event will be compered by Mrs Ashwitha Shetty and Mrs Sophia Dsouza.

Felicitations and community support

The organisers will felicitate prominent personalities for their service and support, including Mr Shareef Abbas Valal, President of Coastal Friends Mangalore, and Sr Charlotte Prameera Pinto, Principal of Christraj Navachetan Special School, Venur.

The trustees, advisory committee members, staff and students of Saanidhya have appealed to the public to extend their presence and encouragement. Donations made towards the trust are eligible for exemption under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961.

The institution, which has been serving exceptional children since 2003, continues to focus on inclusive education, skill development and social integration.
