Mangaluru: A 23-year-old died after the scooter which he was riding lost control and collided with the central divider in the city on Friday. The youth succumbed to the injuries at the hospital.
The deceased has been identified as Nishank, a resident of Kavuru, according to the police he was riding his scooter on the Airport Road towards Padavinangady around 11:30 PM.
While passing the Nexa showroom near Mary Hill Junction, Nishank lost control of the vehicle and collided with the central divider. The impact threw him off the scooter, causing severe head and abdominal injuries.
Nishank was rushed to AJ Hospital in Kuntikanad for treatment. Unfortunately, despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries in the wee hours of Friday.
The Mangalore South Traffic Police have registered a case and investigation is going on.
