Mangaluru: In an emotional reunion, Moushin, who went missing from his family 15 years ago, was finally reconnected with his loved ones thanks to the relentless efforts of the White Doves Team.
Fifteen years ago, Moushin’s family admitted him to a Madrasa with hopes of him becoming a Moulvi. However, soon after, he mysteriously went missing, leaving his family distraught and unable to trace his whereabouts despite extensive searches.
On December 10, 2017, Moushin was picked up by the White Doves Team and brought to their facility on Jail Road in Mangaluru. When he arrived, Moushin appeared mentally disturbed, exhibiting signs of severe distress. He resisted basic routines like bathing and mostly wanted to sleep. He even attempted to flee from the shelter but was safely brought back. Over time, with constant care, medication, and the compassionate efforts of the White Doves staff, Moushin gradually became mentally stable.
Once he regained some clarity, Moushin provided faint details about his hometown. Despite his inability to remember the exact name, the team at White Doves was able to identify a similar-sounding location, Balrampur Thana in Bihar, through an online search. After reaching out to the Balrampur police, they were able to verify Moushin’s background and locate his family.
The news of Moushin’s survival and well-being brought immense joy to his family, who had feared the worst after not hearing from him for over a decade. Upon receiving photos of him, they confirmed his identity, leading to a heartwarming video call. Though initially unable to recognize his family, Moushin slowly began to recall his relatives after a prolonged conversation.
Today, Moushin’s brothers, who work in Mumbai, arrived in Mangaluru to see him in person. They were overjoyed and relieved to finally find Moushin alive and well after years of worry and uncertainty. This marks the 442nd successful case of the White Doves Team reuniting a lost individual in Mangaluru with their family.
