Sripal K P, a lawyer, and Parvatheesha Bilidaale, a journalist, both members of the Naxal rehabilitation and surrender committee, visited Nadpal Peethbail on Saturday, the site where Naxal leader Vikram Gowda was recently encountered.
During their visit, the duo engaged with Adivasi families in Peethbailu, addressing their grievances and concerns. Sripal assured the community, saying, “If any Naxal wishes to surrender, they can reach out to me or Parvatheesh. We will facilitate their reintegration into mainstream society.”
Parvatheesh Bilidaale stressed the importance of government intervention, urging officials to convene a meeting to address the challenges faced by Adivasis and the ongoing Naxal issues in the region.
Additionally, Sripal called for immediate government action amid growing public demand for a judicial investigation into the circumstances surrounding Vikram Gowda’s encounter.
The visit highlights ongoing efforts to promote peace, rehabilitation, and transparency in conflict-affected regions.
