Mangaluru, Jun 27: Concerns have arisen over dangerous potholes at the Suratkal junction on the national highway, highlighted by an incident where a scooter rider fell into one and sustained injuries on Wednesday.
Expressing frustration at the negligence of the Mangaluru City Corporation, the rider protested by placing his scooter in the pothole itself. This act symbolized the community’s outrage over the hazardous condition of the roads.
Following the protest, the rider sought medical treatment at a government hospital for his injuries and later returned home. The incident has drawn attention to the deteriorating road conditions in the area, prompting calls for urgent repairs and better maintenance.
