Mangaluru: KPCC General Secretary Padmaraj R. Poojary has strongly criticized BJP leader CT Ravi for his recent remarks regarding Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala’s visit to Karnataka.

Responding to Ravi’s claim that Surjewala’s trip was merely a Congress fundraising effort and not meant to address public concerns, Poojary said such comments were baseless and inappropriate.

“It is unfair for CT Ravi to make such ridiculous and unfounded statements,” Poojary said. “Surjewala came to understand the problems of Congress MLAs, not for any monetary purpose.”

Highlighting CT Ravi’s previous assignments as BJP in-charge in various states, Poojary questioned his own intent during those visits. “When CT Ravi was deployed in other states as party in-charge, did he go there to collect money too?” he asked, calling out the double standards.

Separately, commenting on the recent cow carcass case in Brahmavar, Poojary appreciated the swift action taken by local police. Six individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident, which had caused concern in the area.

He commended the police for their prompt and lawful response. “The authorities have acted in line with the law, and their efforts deserve praise,” Poojary added.

He urged all political leaders to maintain dignity in public discourse and focus on real issues affecting the people.
