A tragic accident claimed the life of pillion rider Mohini Shetty in Tenkabellur, Kuntalpady, Bantwal, on Wednesday. The incident occurred when the motorcycle she was traveling on skidded and fell on the road. According to a complaint filed by Subashchandra Shetty, a man named Sikandar Mohanto was riding the motorcycle in a negligent manner, leading to the unfortunate accident.
Subashchandra Shetty, who was driving his car nearby, witnessed the mishap. He reported that the motorcycle’s sudden skid caused Mohini Shetty to fall onto the road, suffering severe head injuries. Acting swiftly, Subashchandra Shetty immediately transported her to a nearby hospital in his car. Despite his prompt actions, the medical professionals declared Mohini Shetty dead upon examination.
Sikandar Mohanto, the rider of the motorcycle, did not sustain any injuries in the accident. The incident highlights the dangers of negligent driving and the tragic consequences it can have on innocent lives. The authorities have registered a case at the Bantwal Traffic Police Station and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
