Daiji Dubai Mangaluru and Kavita Trust jointly organized the event at Don Bosco Hall, Mangaluru, on Saturday, June 1.

Welcoming the attendees, Kishoo Barkoor, President of Kavita Trust, highlighted CGS Taccode’s significant literary contributions to the Konkani world, praising his unique style of expression infused with humor and satire.

In his introductory speech, Andrew L D’Souza, a renowned poet and Trustee of Kavita Trust, reminisced about CGS’s humorous nature and his support for young writers.

Poet and organizer Titus Noronha remembered CGS for his deep connection to his native place and its people, noting his versatile skills as an editor and organizer.

Melwyn Rodrigues, founder of Kavita Trust, recounted CGS’s poetic prowess, emphasizing his ability to convey complex ideas through rhythmic and humorous poetry.

Several individuals, including Danica, Jenwin Crasta, Eldon, Priyona, Jiya, Jianna, Alrisha, Ninisha, and Nishel, recited CGS’s poems during the event. Silviya Sequeira, CGS’s wife, graced the occasion with her presence.
