Puttur: In a bold political claim, Gangavathi MLA and Kalyana Rajya Pragathi Paksha (KRPP) leader G. Janardhana Reddy stated that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is likely to step down from his position by November this year. Speaking at Kunjadi in Sullia taluk, Reddy alleged that an internal agreement was made between Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM D.K. Shivakumar for a 50-50 power-sharing arrangement.

Reddy referenced former CM Devaraj Urs’ tenure and said, “Siddaramaiah had once claimed he wouldn’t continue even a day more than Devaraj Urs as CM. If he crosses that limit, he should resign — and he will.”

He emphasized that DK Shivakumar has already begun groundwork to take over the CM post, indicating a transition is imminent. “If Siddaramaiah does not resign, DK Shi will not hesitate to seize the post. He’s in a hurry to become CM,” Reddy remarked.

BJP Will Return Stronger

Reddy also predicted a major political comeback for the BJP in Karnataka. “Our party will stand united under the guidance of senior leaders. The high command will steer the party towards victory and discipline,” he stated. He expressed full confidence in the BJP returning to power with a significant majority in the next election.
