“INTEGRATED APPROACHES TO ENERGY, SUSTAINABILITY & CLIMATE CHANGE”

Mangaluru: St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru organizes a National Seminar on “Integrated Approaches to Energy, Sustainability & Climate Change”, scheduled to be held on 17-18, September 2026. This is Seminar is supported by All India Council for Technical Education under AICTE- VAANI (Vibrant Advocacy for Advancement and Nurturing of Indian Languages). It is the only one seminar supported by AICTE in Konkani Language in the entire state.
Objectives of the Seminar
The proposed two-day seminar helps
- To create awareness about sustainable energy systems, climate change challenges, and environmental conservation among students, researchers, academicians, and the local community through Konkani.
- To provide a common platform for academicians, scientists, industry experts, and policymakers to discuss innovative approaches in renewable energy, hydrogen energy, energy conservation, and climate resilience.
- To encourage research, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration in the fields of clean energy technologies, sustainability practices, and climate change mitigation.
- To motivate students and young researchers to communicate scientific ideas, research outcomes, and technological advancements effectively in the regional language, Konkani, the third most spoken language in the district.
- To facilitate the development of a sustainable and inclusive knowledge ecosystem by integrating regional language communication with emerging technologies and environmental responsibility.
Expected Outcomes:
- The seminar will enhance awareness among participants regarding sustainable energy technologies, climate change issues, and environmental conservation practices.
- The participants will gain valuable insights into renewable energy, hydrogen energy, clean technologies, energy conservation, and climate-resilient solutions.
- The seminar will strengthen interdisciplinary interaction and collaboration among academia, industry experts, researchers, and policymakers in the field of sustainability and climate action.
- The seminar is expected to inspire students and researchers to undertake innovative research and develop sustainable solutions for energy and environmental challenges.
- The seminar will encourage participants to present and publish scientific and technical articles in Konkani language, thereby promoting regional language-based technical education and outreach

Registration:
Registration will be accepted on a First-come-First-Serve basis. Physical presence of participants is mandatory. No TA/DA will be provided to the participants. No Registration Fees.

Call for papers for Poster presentation:
During the seminar, there is a scope to present research articles in Konkani in the form of a Poster.The participants who wish to present research articles and also popular science articles in Konkani can present the poster.
The abstracts (maximum 500 words) of the poster should be submitted in both English and Konkani language to the coordinator before September10, 2026 to the following email
