The Akhila Karnataka Raja Kesari Trust, through its Dakshina Kannada district unit, has launched the Swachhalaya campaign to clean and renovate toilets in government primary and higher primary schools. This initiative, which focuses on promoting health, hygiene, and student rights, will cover around 1,000 schools.
Santosh Kolya, district unit president, shared that volunteers are already working on cleaning and repairing toilets in Hoige Bazaar, Sutarpete, and Kavoor schools. The inauguration of these renovated toilets will take place on October 21. The trust has informed Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan MP about the campaign.
Officials, elected representatives, and community members will join the programme to support the cause.
