The perpetrators made away with valuable items including a Rado watch, CCTV, and a DVR. The family of the homeowner, M K Khalil, who had returned from Ajman six months ago, fell victim to the burglary.

Neighbors noticed suspicious activity on Sunday, May 26, morning when they observed the front door ajar. Upon investigation, it was found that the burglars had tampered with the CCTV camera and forcibly entered the house by breaking open the front door. They ransacked the property, spending hours rummaging through cupboards and even leaving the air conditioning running for their comfort during the theft.

Among the stolen items was a Rado watch valued at Rs 1 lakh. Fortunately, the family’s gold ornaments remained untouched as they were overseas. The thieves also made away with a DVR before fleeing the scene.

The Vittal police department has launched an investigation into the incident, responding promptly to ensure justice is served.
