Mangaluru: The trailer of the much-awaited Tulu film Gajanana Cricketers was released during a grand event held in the city, with the cast and crew expressing confidence that the film would connect strongly with audiences through its blend of friendship, cricket, emotions and coastal culture.

Speaking at a press conference held at Ajanta Business Centre, members of the team said the movie has been designed as a complete entertainer while also portraying the lifestyle and culture of coastal Karnataka.

The film is directed by Kirthan Bhandary, who has also written the story and screenplay. Rohan Pereira Vamanjoor and Santosh Lad have served as co-producers for the movie.

Story blends culture, friendship and cricket

During the interaction with media persons, the team said the film combines the rich cultural elements of coastal Karnataka with themes of friendship, passion for cricket and emotional storytelling.

The makers stated that the narrative has been developed to present relatable characters and situations that audiences can connect with.

According to the team, the film goes beyond being a sports-based story and attempts to portray the emotional and social aspects of village life.

Film portrays village life and youthful dreams

Lead actor Vineeth Kumar said the movie is not centred solely around cricket but also reflects village life, friendship, aspirations of youngsters and the struggles people face in life.

He explained that the film presents these elements in an emotional and engaging manner.

He further said the underarm cricket setting used in the movie brings a unique flavour to the storyline and adds authenticity to the narrative.

Vineeth Kumar said the film contains comedy, romance, emotions and a meaningful social message, making it a complete package for audiences.

He appealed to viewers to watch the film in theatres on May 22 and extend their support to Tulu cinema.

The team expressed confidence that the film would entertain audiences while also promoting local culture and storytelling traditions.
