Mangaluru: Tulu film ‘Bellada Gatti’ is set to hit theatres on November 20, with the makers preparing for its release following the positive response to its trailer released earlier this year.
The film is being produced under the banner of Kateel Prasad Production Katapady. Sri Ramakrishna Sujir Bardile has produced the film in association with Sri Shivananda Kotian Muscat Katapady.
Raja Katapady directs film
‘Bellada Gatti’ is based on a story and screenplay written by Raja Katapady, who has also directed the film. The project has been made with guidance from Sri Jagatpal Bangera Bikarnakatte.
The makers have brought together a cast featuring actors from the Tulu film industry, with the film expected to add to the growing slate of Tulu-language releases.
The trailer, which was released earlier this year, received a good response, according to the film team. The response has helped build anticipation ahead of the theatrical release scheduled for November 20.
Ensemble cast
The film features Manohar Shetty Nandalike, Sujatha Shaktinagar, Vijith Kotian, Kismita and Apeksha Shetty in prominent roles.
The cast also includes Sujatha Shetty Perinje, Sunil Nelligudde, Sohana Shankar, Jayakar Kundar, Deeksha Brahmavar, Gunaprasad, Master Karan, Chaitali Shet and Deshna, among others.
The ensemble brings together several familiar faces associated with the regional entertainment industry.
Prajwal Suvarna handles cinematography
DOP Prajwal Suvarna is in charge of the film’s cinematography. His work forms an important part of the visual presentation of the project, which is being positioned as another theatrical offering for Tulu-speaking audiences.
With Raja Katapady handling the story, screenplay and direction, and a cast comprising established and emerging performers, the film is now heading towards its November release.
The November 20 theatrical release will mark the next stage in the film’s journey after the trailer launch earlier this year.
