The Speaker of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, U T Khader, emphasized that while financial compensation has been provided to the family affected by the tragic house collapse in Madaninagar, no amount of money can alleviate the pain of losing loved ones. During the ceremony, he praised the prompt response of the public and government officials, underscoring the need to prevent such incidents in the future.

Khader made these remarks while personally handing over a cheque of Rs 20 lakh to Fatima Rasheena at the Madrasa of Juma Masjid in Madani Nagar. Fatima is the surviving family member of the four people who perished in the collapse. “There was no need for me to come personally to distribute the cheque. This is a tragedy, and we owe gratitude to everyone who helped during the mishap. This compensation is for the natural calamity. Compensation for the house will be provided by the revenue department,” Khader stated.

The event was attended by prominent officials including Ullal taluk CEO Shaila Karagi, tahsildar Pradeep Kurdekar, revenue inspector Pramod, gram panchayat president Vishalakshi, vice president Mahabala Deppalimar, and others. The tragedy has highlighted the critical importance of ensuring structural safety and preparedness for natural calamities to prevent such devastating losses in the future.
