Mysuru: Ace designer and proprietor of Needle Works Jayanthi Ballal’s ‘Model hunt’ Season 5 was launched here on Saturday November 7 at the Jayachamarajendra Wadiyar Golf Club.
More than 20 participants took part in the audition.
The candidates who are selected will be trained and groomed under the guidance of Jayanthi Ballal, Snehal Igoor and team in next 15 days.
The selected model will be launched on 28th of this month where professional models will be coming for the event.
Virat, who is the upcoming actor in Kannada Industry and Ireen, a super model who has walked for many fashion weeks judged the participants.
Virat is trained at the New York Film Academy and N Ranga Shankara for films. He recently completed a Kannada film project called Supari Surya which is scheduled to release on the 27th of this month. He is also part of a Telugu film which is under progress as well.
It is an opportunity and platform for youngsters interested in modeling.
Jayanthi Ballal, after completing a course in fashion designing from the reputed Vogue Institute in Bengaluru decided to bring fashion to Mysoreans. She started “Needle Works” in 2002. A young mother then, she had a passion for clothes and a penchant for neat lines and design. Jayanthi and Needle Works have moved on to greater things while retaining their roots in the cultural hub, Mysuru. She has showcased her designs through several ramp walks, organizing over 40 shows for different institutions.
