Nanjangud: As many as 10 sheep were killed and six injured after a pack of stray dogs attacked the sheep tied up in a shed in Alaganchi village in the Varuna Assembly constituency in Nanjangud taluk.
About 10 sheep belonging to a woman named Kantamma from the village have died. The stray dogs entered the shed at night and attacked the sheep that were tied up, killing and partially eating them. Around six sheep have been severely injured.
Gram Panchayat member Shivakumar visited the site and conducted an inspection. The loss is estimated to be more than one lakh rupees. The owner has pleaded for appropriate compensation to be provided to her.
