Mysuru: As part of “Bribe-Free Mysuru” campaign, volunteers of Aam Aadmi Party Mysuru District Unit staged a protest against corruption in Government offices at the RTO Mysore East and Sub Registrar’s Office in Kalyanagiri on October 30.
They requested the general public to follow rules and get their legitimate work done directly without using middlemen or paying bribes and advised them to use the newly opened AAP Anti-Bribe Helpline.

They also met the ARTO and requested him to incorporate more citizen friendly measures and reduce harassment to public. The protestors urged him to conduct RTO Adalat regularly.

The ARTO assured that he will immediately write to higher ups to start the Adalat and also improve basic facilities in existing RTO offices. They questioned ARTO about the rationale behind the rule insisting that Auto Drivers must be at least an 8th standard Pass when those running the country are exempted from any qualification. The Sub-Registrar was not present in his office.

Volunteers G. V. Malavika, M. V. Padmamma, G R Vidyaranya, Nandram Negi, Amjad Pasha, Vijayalakshmi, Marigowda, Kamala Anilkumar, Shafeeq, Shafiulla and Suryaprakash participated in the protest.
