Chamarajanagara: Former Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa indirectly hinted at BJP Vijay Sankalp Yatra held on Wednesday March 1 that the Kollegala ticket is certain for MLA N. Mahesh.

Addressing the gathering at Vijay Sankalp Yatra he said that MLA N. Mahesh has done a lot of good work in the Constituency. “This time too people would bless him,” he said and gave a hint that the ticket is final for Mahesh.

Yediyurappa yet again clarified that he has bid farewell to electoral politics, and that the party has not done him any injustice. “All statuses have been given. I have been given high position at Central level. I have no resentment. Lingayat community should know this, he said and requested that this time lotus flowers should bloom in four constituencies of the District. He said Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and company are going to seize power by sowing poison seed between castes and money. Thus he called upon voters to teach them a lesson.

Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje said that wherever our Prime Minister goes, he gets a red carpet welcome. Earlier we used to reach out to foreign arms. Currently we are exporting arms to 20 countries, she said. She expressed the opinion that it is our virtue to be in a party where there is a selfless thinking Prime Minister who does not do anything for himself.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said that the lotus should blossom in all the 4 constituencies of Chamarajanagara. Yediyurappa loves Chamarajanagara very much, he said and added that the State Government launched lake filling project in 2009 and completed it in 2013. After Yediyurappa became the Chief Minister, Mahesh came and I also strengthened Yeddyurappa’s hand, he noted. If Prime Minister Narendra Modi enters the State, the Congress people will tremble. The CM lashed out at Congress which is asking why Modi cones here.

Jana Sankalpa Yatra was flagged off by BJP National President J. P. Nadda but absence of District In-Charge Minister V. Somanna and Kollegala BJP Leader and ticket aspirant Nanjunda Swamy surprised workers.
