Chamarajanagara: Due to a technical fault in the KSRTC bus, the driver lost control and plunged into a lake on the side of the National Highway. The driver and conductor were injured but the passengers escaped without any injury.
As many as 50 passengers were traveling in the KSRTC bus going from Chamarajanagara to Kollegala. Passengers said that when the bus was on the route of Silk Market near Santhemarahalli, a noise was heard and the bus driver lost control and plunged into the lake. There was little water in the lake so no harm occurred.
Driver Madesh and conductor Jyoti were injured and admitted to the hospital for treatment. Some of the passengers suffered minor injuries.
The incident took place under Santhemarahalli Police Station limits and MLA N. Mahesh visited the spot.
