Chamarajanagar: Zilla Panchayat Development Officers’ Association President Kumaraswamy has said that an indefinite sit-in protest will be held in Bengaluru on Wednesday November 2 to press for various demands of the Project Development Officers (PDO).

From November 2, all Project Development Officers of the District will be participating in the Freedom Park in Bengaluru and only drinking water and street light services will be available till the protests stop. He appealed to the public to cooperate as all other services are yet to be suspended.

We are implementing all schemes of the Central and State Governments besides providing basic amenities to 70 per cent of the rural population. The role of PDOs was important in getting many awards for the State Government.

For our legitimate demand the 11 demands of the Project Development Officers should be fulfilled. The PDOs of the District should compulsorily participate in the indefinite dharna satyagraha at Freedom Park Bengaluru Chalo.
