Chamarajanagara: Kannada Andolana Vatal Paksha President Vatal Nagaraj has demanded that the newly constructed Parliament Building in Delhi should be named as Anubhava Mantapa and a statue of Basavanna should be erected in front of the Bhavan.
Speaking on the occasion, Vatal Nagaraj at Mariyala Village in the Taluk said that Basava Jayanti is being celebrated all over the world and it is not right for all parties to celebrate Basava Jayanti in a grand manner for the sake of elections. There should be honest thinking about Basavanna. He is a role model for the world. Therefore, the newly constructed Parliament Building in Delhi should be named after Anubhava Mantapa, he said.
A statue of Basavanna should be erected in front of the Bhavan, he added.
He said that a meeting will be held under the leadership of Kannada Andolana Vatal Paksha and Haraguru Charamurthy of various mathas in front of the new Parliament Building in New Delhi to build a statue of Basaveshwara and name the bhavan as Anubhava Mantapa.
