Chamarajanagara: A tusker, which had attacked a farmer from Bettadamadahalli was captured by the Forest Department officials near Hanjipura Village in the Taluk of the District.
On morning of Monday January 2, a tusker attacked Devarajappa, a farmer from Bettadamadahalli and severely injured him. It also crushed and destroyed farmers’ banana crops, beets, wire fencing and other crops.
Range Forest Officer Naveen Kumar and staff tried their best to capture the elephant, but to no avail. Then on Monday night, elephant Omkara went towards forest.
