Chamarajanagara: A youth resorted to suicide by jumping into a lake at Shivapura Kallukatte Reservoir in the District on the evening of Saturday December 3.
The deceased has been identified as Madhu (20), a resident of Annurkeri Village. It is said that he made a phone call to his friends and jumped into the lake saying that he was dying falling into the lake. It is learnt that the mobile phone fell on the top of the Reservoir. The exact cause of death is yet to be ascertained.
Gundlupete Police rushed to the spot and inspected the spot and later received the fire brigade personnel and lifted the body. A case has been registered at the police station in this regard.
