Male Mahadeshwara Temple records Rs 2.27 Cr as Hundi collection

Chamarajanagara: The famous  pilgrimage Male Mahadeshwara Temple has created another record by registering a whopping Rs. 2.27 Crore Hundi collection in just 33 days.

The Hundi counting was held under the supervision of Male Mahadeshwara Temple Development Authority officers amid tight police security.

The cash in the form of    currency notes amounting to Rs. 2,12,35,760 and Rs. 15,31,074 were in the form of coins. In addition, devotees have contributed  57 grams of gold and 3.8 kg of silver as offering.

During the month, there was a Kartika monthly fair at the hill. Thousands of people visited the shrine and performed darshan. There has been a significant increase in the number of visitors to the temple since then.
