Mysuru: Though we are celebrating Dasara in a simple manner, tourists have arrived in large numbers, I am very glad with this kind of response, said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah here at Mandakalli airport on Monday.
The CM who arrived at the city to take part in the Dasara celebrations tomorrow, spoke to media persons and said that government was forced to keep the DAsara simple due to Cauvery water row. “There was a possibility of less number of visitors but I am to see such a good response,” he said.
When asked about Opposition’s allegations that the state government has failed to tackle drought in the state, the CM said that the opposition parties do not have a valid reason to criticise government hence they are making such remarks. “Prime Minister has called for a meeting of three CM’s to discuss Mahadayi issue. Prior to it, I will be holding an all-party meeting,” he added.
