Mysuru Deputy Commissioner G. Lakshmikanth Reddy has instructed officials to implement government schemes for persons with disabilities efficiently, ensuring no grievances arise.

Chairing a grievance redressal meeting at the Zilla Panchayat auditorium, he urged authorities to resolve complaints promptly, offering on-the-spot solutions where possible. He also directed tahsildars to identify land for the housing scheme beneficiaries.

The KSRTC divisional controller was ordered to strictly reserve bus seats for the differently-abled, while officials were asked to track and reinstate missing disability pensions.

Disability rights representatives demanded that Mysuru City Corporation fully utilize its 5% allocated funds for the disabled. They also called for the fair distribution of tricycles, benefits, and the restoration of halted pensions, ensuring eligible individuals receive housing and land grants as discussed.
