Mysuru: The Judicial Magistrate of First Class ( JMFC) court has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against legislator M K Somashekar in a defamation case.
A former corporator of Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Chikkanna had filed a case against Krishnaraja MLA M K Somashekar over the latter obtaining LPG dealership by providing false documents. MLA Somashekar had abused the complainant over the issue in response despite Chikkanna furnishing documents justifying his allegations.
Taking cognisance of the issue, the JMFC court summoned MLA Somaskhar on December 4. However, Somashekar evaded the court proceedings forcing the court to issue a non-bailable arrest warrant against him.
