In view of the International Disabled Day, which is slated to be held on December 3, a sports meet for special children was inaugurated by Mayor MJ Ravi Kumar. Addressing the gathering after inaugurating the sports meet he said, “It’s really an honor to inaugurate such an event. It gave me immense happiness to be a part of the meet. The parents and special educators deserve respect and gratitude for their patience and effort in grooming these children. It isn’t easy to groom these children and one needs to have lot of patience. We are helping the parents of children with disabilities by way of providing financial assistance and we will continue to help them in the days to come. Let God give them the strength to achieve in sports and all their other endeavors. Such sports competitions for special children gives them a chance at equal participation in the society”.
