Mysuru: The District Social Welfare Department has informed that the report questioning the allegations made against Mysuru Krishnaraja constituency Congress MLA M K Somashekhar will be submitted to the High Court.
A private complaint was filed against the MLA for submitting a false caste certificate to the election commission.
The MLA had submitted a caste certificate that claimed that he belonged to the Kadu Kuruba ST?caste.
The District SC and ST?Castes Verification Committee and district administration, was asked to file a report on the fake caste certificate obtained by Krishnaraja MLA?M?K?Somashekar.
Now the committee has sought for an additional period of two months to submit the report. Following this, the social welfare department official Prakash said that within 15 days of submitting the report appropriate action will be taken.
