Mysuru: A hard earned BE degree and budding career in the software industry literally went down along with a girl when some frolicsome moments with the sea turned misadventurous. The incident occurred by the seashore near Bhubaneswar in Odisha when the deceased techie girl was on an official trip along with five of her colleagues in the evening of October 23.
N S Manasa, aged 25, a resident of Gokulam 2nd Stage in Mysuru is the deceased. An engineering graduate from NIT, Manasa, daughter of Vysya bank employee Shankar had been recently recruited by a software company in a campus selection.
She was in Odisha on a training from the company along with her colleagues and supposed to return in two days. However, the Sunday evening stroll by the seaside and a little playful moments in the water turned fatal when a strong tide lashed upon Manasa and swept her away killing her on the spot. A colleague who tried to rescue her in vain is recuperating in a hospital after the fury of the sea nearly left him half dead.
Manasa’s family members left for Odisha on the very night of the incident to collect her body.
