Mysuru: District Minister G T Devegowda instructed the Agriculture Department officials not to restrict Hasiru Santhe for a day and instead called upon them to conduct it every Sunday at Krishnaraja Boulevard Road. A decent number of the crowd turned up for the daylong Hasiru and Chitra Santhes.
Speaking after inaugurating day long Hasiru Santhe and Chitra Santhe organised by the Tourist Department in association with district administration at Krishnaraja Boulevard road here on Sunday, December 30, he said, “Organic farming is very much the need of the hour. It is nice to see more farmers getting into organic farming and people are also consuming it.
The advantage of organic farming is that fertilizers are not used for growing any crop due to which various diseases including cancer are avoided. Ensuring better price to the farmers and avoiding middlemen, this sort of platform will help the growers sell their products directly to the consumers. Hence I will instruct our agricultural officials to conduct Hasiru Santhe every Sunday.”
