Kodagu: One more moderate earthquake reported

Kodagu: Kodagu continues to witness minor and moderate level tremors. On Friday July 1 at 1.15 am, an earthquake of 1.8 magnitude was reported in the District.

According to authorities, the epicentre of this earthquake was at 5.2 kilometres WNW of M Chembu Village, Paraje Gram Panchayat, Madikeri Taluk, Kodagu District. This area is bordering the Dakshina Kannada – Kodagu District.

Locals allege that the second earthquake was reported at 1.45 am also. However, officials have yet to confirm this.

This is the third such incident in the last one week. The locals are worried over the repeated occurrences of earthquake.
