Kodagu: In a shocking incident, a Gram Panchayat Project Development Officer, who was on government duty, was assaulted and obstructed from discharging his duties at Nelyahudikeri here on Tuesday January 24.
H. S. Anil Kumar, PDO of Nelyahudikeri Gram Panchayat in Kushalnagara Taluk, is undergoing treatment at Siddapura Community Health Centre.
PDO Anil Kumar has lodged a complaint with Siddapura Police Station alleging that Shiva Kumar and Padmanabha of the same village, stopped him and took the key of his motorcycle and abused him and threatened to kill him while he was returning from the third ward of Nelyahudikeri Gram Panchayat on a motorcycle after getting GPS at the house of a beneficiary of Basavavasti Scheme.
