Kodagu: The Sangh Parivar workers on Thursday July 28 staged protest in Virajpet, Madikeri, Gonicoppa and Siddapura against brutal murder of BJP worker Praveen Nettaru in Bellare on Tuesday July 26.
The workers raised slogans against State BJP Government and leaders, and urged for severe punishment for killers. In Virajpet, BJP Town Unit President T. M. Krishna and Secretary Pradeep Rai and others tendered resignation to their posts in protest against negligent attitude of State Government in punishing culprits. In Shanivarasanthe BJP
leaders held a protest and said that they would take decision to tender resignation on Friday in protest against inactiveness of the Government.
Madikeri MLA M. P. Appachu Ranjan urged to encounter the murder accused of Praveen.
Speaking to mediapersons he said that miscreants are killing innocents by getting funds from Jihadi elements.
Virajpet MLA K. G. Bopaiah visited Praveen Nettaru s house in Bellare in Sullia Taluk and consoled family members. He said State Government would take stringent action action against culprits.
