Kodagu: On the auspicious day of Kaveri Tula Sankramana at 7.21 pm, the holy theerthodbhava in Mesha lagna was celebrated and all arrangements have been made at the shrine and police have made elaborate security arrangements.
These arrangements were made by the District Administration. Under the leadership of Kodi Motaiah, the head of the temple. they take the gold ornaments from Bhagamandala to Talacauvery and adorn it to mother Sri Kaveri. The entire place has been decorated with flowers.
In Bhagamandala, separate places were allotted for pinda prasthana and kesha mundana. In order to facilitate the holy dip, sand-mixed silt was removed from the Triveni Sangam and the water was blocked by using wooden planks near the bridge.
In order to facilitate the devotees coming to the temple on foot, the shrubs and weeds that had grown on the sides of the road from Bhagamandala to Talacauvery have been cleared and electric lighting has been arranged along the 8-km-road to facilitate the movement of motorists.
Parking arrangements were made at Bhagamandala and Talacauvery for devotees coming to the temple.
