Kodagu: Wild elephant finally captured, 2-day operation successful

Kodagu: A wild elephant was captured in Karadigodu area. It had created panic among workers and farmers.

The Government gave the permission to capture of wild animal. The operation was carried out with 5 domestic elephants of Dubare Elephant camp.

The tusker was found in the coffee plantation at Bhuvanahalli in Karadigodu. The crew managed to captured the elephant by administering anaesthesia. The male elephant is approximately 22-year-old.

The villagers heaved a sigh of relief from the wild elephant’s captivity. More than ten wild elephants appeared during the operation in the coffee plantation.

The locals are demanding to permanently prevent the menace of elephants. Preparation are on to move the captured elephant to the camp.
