A car for a Quran: RSS leader’s Omni set on fire

Somwarpet: A communal repercussion occured in Aigoor village after a copy of Quran was burnt in a mosque two days ago. Following this incident, an RSS leader’s car was burnt on Sunday, November 13 night.
Miscreants desecrate Holy Quran in Mosque in Somwarpet-1A Maruti Omni van belonging to advocate and Taluk RSS leader K S Padmanabha was set ablaze by miscreants. Padmanabha claimed that the car was burnt after the miscreants put petrol on it and lit it on fire.

The car was parked outside Padmanabha’s house in Aigoor. Police have taken the remains of van to the local station.

The local saffron brigade organised a raasta roko in protest and demanded immediate arrest of those responsible for setting the car on fire. Deputy Superintendent of Police Sampath Kumar, took necessary measures to control of the situation.
