Madikeri: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has sanctioned Rs 58.8 crores towards the construction of retaining wall across Madikeri-Sampaje NH 275, which was damaged due to heavy rains and landslides this year.
Madikeri and Mysuru Parliamentarian Pratap Simha had met the minister in this regard and had submitted a report about the project along with a request letter for sanctioning of funds.
Speaking to the media, Simha has said that the drainage system, retaining wall, and road safety measures would be implemented at the earliest on NH 275.
