Maddur: Anitha Kumaraswamy campaigned for her son Nikhil Kumaraswamy in Maddur taluk. Nikhil is the Congress-Janata Dal (S) coalition candidate for Mandya Lok Sabha constituency.
Anitha offered a prayer at Channakeshwara Beereshwara Swamy Temple in Gudidhoddi village before starting the campaign.
Speaking during the campaign, she said “Nikhil Kumaraswamy is a simple human being just like his father Kumaraswamy and grandfather H D Devegowda. If Nikhil wins the election, he will honestly serve the people.”
“Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has sanctioned Rs 8,600 Crore for the overall development of Mandya district. Developmental works are in progress, and after six months, people will witness the developments. JD(S) activists should reach out to every household and educate people regarding the achievements of the Kumaraswamy government,” she added.
Speaking during the campaign, Member of the Legislative Council N Appaji Gowda, said, “CM Kumaraswamy’s achievements are going to lead Nikhil Kumaraswamy towards victory in the Lok Sabha elections.”
The campaign continued in Maralige, Konasaale, Chottanahalli, Goolooru, Chikkadhoddi and many other villages.
Legislators K Suresh Gowda, K T Shrikante Gowda, Zilla Panchayat member M Marihegade, Taluk Panchyat member Mohan, party leaders Lakshmi Channaraju, Nelligeri Babu, Chikkonahalli Thammaiah, Harakere Puttaswamy, Satish, Ashok, Konasale Madhu, Anasooya Devi and Siddaraju among many others were present during the campaign.
