Indian Seva Dal teaches patriotism and discipline among children: Chandrakantha

Mandya: Public service department field inspector Chandrakantha said that the Indian Seva Dal is teaching patriotism, discipline and restraint among school children.

He was speaking after inaugurating a 5-day district level training workshop organized by the India Seva Dal Vidyalaya District Committee in association with public education department southern and northern field offices at Mysugar High School in the city.

It is necessary to motivate the students to sing the national anthem and patriotic songs in a timely manner, he said. He further said, “Students should be educated on civic consciousness and on the importance of working hard, to help them understand the concept of nationalism, pure India. The role that physical education teachers play is essential in building a clean and healthy society.”

GV Nagaraju, District Secretary of India Seva Dal, said, “India Seva Dal is the largest organization working for the safety of the country. The dream of Mahatma Gandhi and Hardikar is being raised in the state of the country today, with pride. He said that in the wake of insecurity in the country, Seva Dal works to protect the country.”

He further said that before India got independence, it was named as Hindustan. “The independence was delayed due to lack of cohesion, and the Hindustan Army was converted in the year of 1973 under NS Hardikar and later named as Indian Seva Dal.

The program was attended by Shivananda, District President of India Sevadala, Ganesh, District Coordinator, Trainee Swami, Education Department Officer Kumaraswamy, Vijayakumar, Chaitanya Moorthy, Physical Education Teacher Usharani, Siddaraju, Seva Dal officers and others.
