Mandya: In the wake of the arrest of Santro Ravi, ADGP (Law and Order) Alok Kumar on Friday January 13 offered prayers at the Shakti Devata Nimishamba temple at Ganjam Village in Srirangapatna.
Alok Kumar, who had visited the Temple four days ago took a vow, and offered special prayers to Goddess Nimishamba. He had vowed to return to the Temple if Santro Ravi was arrested. Santro Ravi was arrested in Gujarat within 26 hours of taking the vow.
After visiting the Temple and fulfilling the vow, Alok Kumar said, “I have faith in the Goddess for the last 12 years. In 2011, there was a double murder case in Mysuru. Even then, I had come and made a vow to the Goddess. The accused were arrested within five hours before we left for Mysuru after offering prayers. Even now, on the January 10, I came and offered prayers and vowed that Santro Ravi should be arrested. So I offered prayers to the Goddess and fulfilled my vow. I too have great faith in the Goddess,” he said.
