Mandya: The office-bearers of Karnataka Dalita Sangharsha Samiti staged a protest in front of the Taluk Office and submitted a memorandum to Tahasildar T. N. Narasimhamurthy demanding that burial grounds be provided to various villages under Besagarahalli Gram Panchayat limits and also necessary facilities should be provided with 25% grant.

The office-bearers of the Karnataka Dalita Sangharsha Samiti, who arrived near the Taluk Office in the Town, raised slogans against the Centre as well as the State Government and the District and Taluk Administrations.

“It is shameful that due to the negligence of the politicians ruling the country and the State and the irresponsibility of the officials, neither the right to own land for the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes nor the facility of burial in case of the death of the community is provided thereby with burial ground facility,” he said.
