Mandya: Kumbh Mela to be celebrated at Triveni Sangama

Mandya: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has announced that an order will be issued by the Government to celebrate the Kumbh Mela every 12 years at Triveni Sangama, the holy place where the three rivers meet.

He was speaking at the valedictory function of the Bala Mahadeshwara Temple and the valedictory function of the Mahakumbh Mela at Triveni Sangama near Ambigarahalli – Sangapura-Pura villages in K.R. Pete Taluk here. “It is the confluence of the holy rivers Cauvery, Hemavathi and Lakshmanatheertha in South India and a special grant will be released for its development, he said.

Further, he assured that basic amenities will be provided including tourism, bathing ghats, etc., so that people can come here regularly.
